Swasti Bhowmick puts in his papers as CFO at Rediffusion Y&R  (View Comments)

Swasti Bhowmick has quit Rediffusion Y&R as Chief Financial Officer. He had joined the agency in October 2008 and was managing the finances all group companies – TME, Wunderman, Showdiff, Rediffusion Public Relations, OAP-Touchpoint, Everest Brand Solutions, Sudler& Hennesey, and Rediffusion Y&R India as well as Sri Lanka operations.

No official confirmation was forthcoming at the time of filing the report. However, industry sources have confirmed the movement. It is also believed that a replacement for Bhowmick has been decided upon and an announcement would be made soon. However, the name could not be ascertained. Nor were there were any details on Bhowmick’s next destination.


Bhowmick had begun his career with Lovelock and Lewes in Kolkata. Modi Olivetti and IBP Caltex followed immediately thereafter. He spent three years in Hindustan Unilever Ltd, which was followed by a five-year stint at Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages. He has 18 years’ experience in sales accounting, cost management, MIS, budgeting, credit control and operations finance in IT, including managing start-ups and established FMCG brands.


Bhowmick had joined Rediffusion Y&R from Symantec Corporation, where he was heading the finance and accounting functions in India.
